Acoustic Interior

Acoustic interior – interior design by applying the principles and requirements of room acoustics, combining sound and image.

A common situation occurs when the aesthetic appearance of the room and the relationship with the building as a whole depends separately on both the architect and the acoustics. Architects and interior designers seek to represent their solutions and vision, and acousticians – their own. This can result in a separation between the acoustics of the premises, its means and the image of the room. In many cases, acoustic materials are also part of the interior. Unlike sound insulation or building acoustics solutions, which are typically building structures, acoustic devices often consist of materials or parts of structures that are visible. Therefore, if the acoustic solutions are not intact with the interior design, the end result is more determined by one side or the other. To avoid this, we prepare acoustic interior projects. Taking into account the whole overall picture of the building, the environment and its history, the wishes of architects, interior designers and customers and adapting acoustic solutions to them. Only visually appealing rooms can sound good. People value the object as a whole and only the harmony between all parts can lead to the best results.

Lithuania music and theatre academy music innovation study centre

Lithuania music and theatre academy LMTA music innovation study centre was opened in 2014. There are 3 acoustically sensitive spaces in the centre: spherical sound recording studio, studio montage and control room, auditorium. We have prepared architectural acoustics, acoustic interior, sound insulation and noise control projects for the spaces above. The projects were completed with contract control.
