Projects in the acoustics sector are not usually subjected to general expertise and often require expert evaluation. It is often the case that different project developers have different views on engagement terms, have different interests, or simply lack expertise in one area or another. It is very important that the customer knows what he needs, what he can expect and that the designer / contractor understands what kind of result and effort is expected. Often in architectural acoustics, part of the room design has to be done to determine the possible parameters – reverberation time, music sound, speech clarity, reflection structure and intensity, loudness of the listener, and more. When preparing technical tasks for future projects, we assess the potential conditions, explain to the client what they can expect and how their needs will influence the final result. This gives the customer additional leverage to manage the design and contract work, the presence of acoustics specialists in the design team is ensured and a clear criteria for evaluating the quality of the end result is identified.

We perform author supervision, object inspection, supervision of the quality of contract work which directly influences the result of architectural acoustics, sound insulation and noise control. Often project participants have a peculiar vision of a good acoustic solution that does not necessarily coincide with physics or good practice. Just to name a few: painting fibrous acoustic absorbers, attaching resonant acoustic panels directly to a solid surface, using fibrous materials for sound insulation, improper assembly or partitioning of engineering system components, confusion of architectural acoustics and sound insulation materials, etc.. These and other similar errors are repeated on an ongoing basis regardless of the completeness or accuracy of the documentation provided. To avoid these errors, we can provide consultations. The frequency of consultations depends on the specifics of the work and the general agreement with the customer. Typically, visits are made at least prior to the start of each individual phase, during which the general principles are explained to the contractor, key details are given, prompt and immediate communication in the event of unforeseen situations and issues is agreed upon. For each presentation or lecture we prepare adapted material according to the requester’s field of activity and wishes.
